Sucked back in...

Blogging, just like everything in my life for the first few weeks is so much fun. Everything I did, afterwards I thought.. '"I'M GOING TO BLOG ABOUT THAT." Now that the honeymoon stage between my blog and I is over I think, "I have nothing to share with anyone!"

So I made a goal, and the goal was. Blog once a month! Good thing I am like a visiting teacher and I am blogging on the VERY last day of the month. Just remember it is February and the shortest. So technically I could have two more days to be blogging.

BUT, seeing as I never fail on my goals.. (I change them before I fail) Here is the first and only blog of Feburary.

My first two years of college were a blast. I stayed out late, snuck out of my house, (Mom I know you read this and I'm sorry) slept all day, procrastinated my homework assignments, and used any chance I could to get out of responsibility. Then I took a semester off. I worked every day and then hung out at my apartment with Daylan. I didn't have many friends because I wasn't in college anymore. I was the old lady of Price Utah. Hanging out with my favorite married woman Jazmin Snook about every two weeks or so. I spent my days being responsible. Working, cleaning, doing laundry. Going to bed on time and waking up early. For months now I have been succeeding at the 7/11 program. (Go to bed at 11, wake up at 7)

Then, school started again. I continued with the 7/11 and left activities early to go to bed. I did my homework a week before it was due, and I studied anatomy like it was my day job. I never got work off and never called in sick... Well let me just say, I can feel myself getting sucked back in to college.

All of the sudden I HATE studying. I can't make myself sit down and look at the dreaded anatomy book for more than 10 minutes. All I want to do is play, play, play! I put off my laundry until I only have the clothes from Junior High left in the closet. I watch Grey's Anatomy for hours (I figure if it "anatomy" that its basically studying right?) The other night I stayed up until 3 AM! Just like the good ol days. I skip class, I sleep way too long, hot tub and drink lava flows once a week, zumba, go dancing, stay up all night.... but I still got the number one score on my muscle test in anatomy! That is how I know its best to live it up!

The Break

Since I have been a terrible blogger lately this post will be very crammed! Since I have many AWESOME things that have happened. Obviously since Christmas and New Years were in the middle of my blogging strike.

Hopefully because it is the New Year I will be better at this. As of right now, here are the past 3 weeks jammed into one spectacular post!

It all started off with my roommate leaving me. She was going home for Christmas. So I replaced her for a few days with my bestie, Budsey!

My Aunt and her entire family came down to watch my cousin play basketball against Carbon. Brett was reffing the game and so that was lots of fun. Carbon ended up winning surprisingly!

Last minute shopping in Provo with Kimmie and my mom was tons of fun! Kimmie got to meet David Archuleta!

Kim and I also went into Toys R' Us. It brought back tons of memories from being a child. We played around and acted like kids. On our way out we stopped THE GREATEST THING EVER! A giant dinosaur egg filled with sour bites. Only problem, this particular gumball machine required FOUR QUARTERS! We knew we could weasle it out of our mom. We ran outside, knocked on her window and here was the conversation.

ME: "Mom! I need 50 cents! Can I PLEASE have it!?"
MOM: "Uhh.. Sure.. Let me see if I can find it."
KIM: "MOM! I need 50 cents too!!! Morgan is getting it!"
MOM: "Can't you two share??"
ME/KIM "WE ARE SHARING! IT COSTS $1!"
MOM: "Fine.."

That is how we got the best gumball prize EVER!

I bought myself a Nintendo 64. Probably the best Christmas present anyone got this year.

Christmas Eve dinner, Jena was sure on one. She was putting CUNE umbers on her eyeballs. Kim was asking if she could pour ranch in the Martinelli's bottle because she put her CUNE umbers in there and they needed friends. It was the funniest dinner ever.

Christmas Day was fun. We opened presents and just had fun being together. I had to work for a few hours and while I was away the family went to Elmo. We came home and opened our newest tradition presents. "The Retarded Presents." This tradition started last year when we were going on a cruise and didn't want to spend money on Christmas presents. So we all just had to buy everyone a cheap present and make it meaningful. These presents are always fun and goofy. I got Brett a Barbie doll and made him a book on how to get a girl, and how to keep a girl. Then I said, "If that doesn't work you'll always have Barbie." They are all silly and inside jokes. It was fun!

Kim and I got this stuff called "Squishy Baff." It turns your bath water into goo. We just had to try it so we got it for each others "retarded presents" It has two packets, one to make it gooey and one to dissolve it. When we got ready to dissolve it... It did NOT switch back into water. Whoops.

Cabin Time! On Wednesday after Christmas the fam went up to the cabin. The first day Brett had Kameron Perkins and Sidney Ekker come up with him. While we were at dinner Jena was giving everyone food nick-names. I am cheesecake. I told her to give Sidney one and of ALL the foods in the world. She gives her.... wait for it....HORNDOG! Probably the funniest part of the entire Christmas break. Everyone died of laughing. It was hilarious.

Tim, Chels, Brett and I all hopped in the Argo late one night to go find internet with our dish satellite. We found the best signal and I got enough to watch Netflix. Only problem, it is in the middle of the road.

New Years Eve, I had to work until 8. Then I went back up to the cabin to celebrate by watching "Night at the Museum." Right at midnight some people in the cabin right next to ours had some HUGE fireworks so that was the highlight.

Yesterday BUB got to play against CEU. I got a picture with him and I look like I am next to a star! It was fun watching him play.

That was my break! I had lots of fun seeing all of my family and just getting to relax some. Even though I had to work quite a bit and I got sick for a few days. It was a good time.

Volleyball Follow-Up

Family volleyball came to an end last Tuesday December 6, 2011. It was a very good run for the "Johnson Family" team. Which consisted of different players almost every week including:

Jeff Johnson
Lylis Johnson
Brett Johnson
Morgan Johnson
Kimberly Johnson
Jazmin Snook
Jerrin Snook
Kathy Wilde
Bradey Wilde
Jordan Moynier
Stacey Mortinson
Eric Mortinson
Tiffany Sorenson

Our tournament team

I think that is everyone. Even though the entire season we only won exactly 2 matches and only a few games we all had a blast doing it. Except for the times when everyone was grouchy. Jazmin and I always killed it out there. We both got so much better from that first intimidating game. When the tournament came around Jaz and I were out there diving for the ball running like crazy. Doing cool serves and just having fun.. Mostly while everyone else was upset we were losing. Not Jazmin and I though. We were the rocks. I contribute this to my new shoes.

You can be jealous.

I'm just glad I wasn't completely terrified every time the ball came towards me. I didn't make others run out of their way to get it for me. I did it by myself!

The Cutest Tree Around

Saturday night Daylan and I set out for the perfect Christmas tree. We searched high and low until we found the most gorgeous blue spruce. Aka 5' pre lit from Walmart. We got back to the apartment, turned on Santa Claus 2, lit a Christmas candle and got to work. I must say it is probably the cutest tree I have ever seen.

My New Toy

Thanksgiving. It was such a great time full of laughter and fun. Of course the best part came later. At midnight to be exact. The start of a new controversy. Black Friday beginning earlier and earlier every year. Now with it actually starting on Thanksgiving. Did I care? Not really. In my eyes, Thanksgiving is definitely over by 10 PM. Heck, at 7 PM everyone was looking through all the Black Friday deals together. This was when I decided I was going to buy myself a Blu-Ray player. I picked out the very one I wanted in the Walmart sales catalog and we decided to go. Keep in mind I was in Orem as well. We headed over there at exactly midnight. You couldn't hardly even walk through the isle! Everyone had carts full of electronics, toys, and anything else you could ever find at Wally World. I went straight for the Blu-Ray players. Thinking I was too late. I found where the one I wanted should have been... THEY WERE GONE! I was so depressed. I started considering players that were double the price because at this point I just wanted one. When, I found it! Tucked behind all the other players was the VERY one I wanted! I snagged it and we booked it out of there... Well we would have if the lines weren't miles long.

So now I have my very own Blu-Ray player. One that streams Netflix, Hulu Plus and just about everything else you could imagine. Including Dr. Oz's health tips, yoga and Michael Jackson tv. The only problem is.. I watch tv ALL the time now. I find myself just wanting to be alone at home so I can watch my tv. Then I went and bought me an HDMI cable online for $2.99 plus free shipping. I have a great entertainment system if I do say so myself. I am quite proud of it.

4 AM
I must include. During the black friday rush. My brother Brett and I had a blast. It was my two sisters, Kimmie and Chelsey, my mom then me and bub. When I came out of Walmart I found Brett dancing in the parking lot, music blasting, all by himself. Obviously I joined him and that moment on... We were hyper and out of control. We sped all over the city. Reversed around someone at a stoplight. (My mom thought they were going to call the cops.) We drag raced everyone we could. Made awkward eye contact. Danced, sang, parkcore ballerina style, and just plain went crazy every chance we had. It was a great time! I think my mom was frightened for her life a little. We got back at 5 AM and went to sleep around 6 AM. My mom didn't go to sleep at all. She had a temple session at 6 and she went strong all day.

Loss of wisdom.

Oh the great times of surgery and getting knocked out. So many things I don't remember that I did yesterday right after I got my wisdom teeth out.

#1. I made my mom take a picture of me immediately after I woke up. Ugliest picture of my life I might add.

#2. Austin was just getting dropped off at the MTC right when I was waking up from surgery. My mom said I talked to him and said goodbye, but I don't remember at all. So I continued calling him, his sister, and his dad trying to get a hold of him to tell him bye. Finally his dad answered and told me he was gone, that's when I started crying. The best part is, I don't remember this and every time my mom talks about it, she starts bawling!

#3. Because I didn't think I got to talk to him, I was super depressed. My mom told me I could write him a Dear Elder letter and tell him bye in that. Then she proceeded to go upstairs to take a nap. Leaving me unattended. Which I might add, the instruction paper said "do not leave patient unattended." While I was alone, I somehow wrote him a Dear Elder letter. I have no idea if it will get to him... But here is the letter.

Elder davis.
I am so sorry I didn't get to say bye to you. I am having a really hard time with my teeth :( You are so great and I don't even know if I did this right. I am still pretty out of it. If you aren't my austin davis can you find him for me? Thanks. Let him know he made it! He did such an amazing job. Also. They put a needle in me and I didn't like it at all. I did it though! And I got the cutest picture of you from your dad. I think he likes me sometimes. On tv this girl just hit a boy with a water balloon. I hope that doesn't happen to me. Because its cold outside and I don't like cold wet things mixed. Like snow. I like snow in the snow approved areas only. Oh but if this is my austy congrats and I'm sorry I didn't get to say bye :(
Pssst... I love you.
Mrgy the girl with no more wisdom. Can you tell from my letter? It's not very wise huh? :) at least I still have my head though!!!
SEE YO U LATER BESTIE!!
Sorry if this letter is too soon. I couldn't wait. Since I was in surgery and I missed you leaving!! I'll wait longer before sending the next one. (loratabs are silly. Don't do drugs on your mission. I don't think that's allowed. But if it is. I can hook you up!!) (only if they say it's okay though. And I don't know if I want to share them. But I might with you!)
I'm done now
Want a care package?? Speak now or forever (well never) get any cookies!!
It wants me to put your estimated departure day!!! I don't know what that is though!! Hurry give it to me so I can send this!!
I don't know if that's my real address. :/ I hope I don't go to jail. Do I go to jail for that? :( if I'm in jail I can't go on a mission! Huh? Please tell them I'm sorry if it's wrong! I just don't remember it right now!

My mom gets such a laugh out of this letter, she has shared it with basically every person she knows.. Which is why I felt like I should just put it on here.

#4. I told Brett that I needed to tell Ace of Cakes that they are better than Cake Boss. So I wanted to take a magic carpet out to Boston to see them.

#5. My mom did a U-Turn in the gas station parking lot and I yelled at her for going in circles! I thought she was trying to kill me.
